Why is therapy treated like it’s a bad word? Omg, what happened why are you talking to a therapist? Because I’m working on myself. I want to be a better person. A better parent. There are things that we all have to work on deep down inside. It doesn’t make you crazy to talk to an unbiased professional; to work out childhood issues that have affected your adult life. Be the person who breaks the generational cycle. This is not to blame my parents or their parents. We all learn differently. Parent differently. I’m just taking a new approach to making my relationships with others better and more meaningful. I’m clearer on who I am, who I want to be, and my boundaries of how I want others to treat me.


Therapy can give you a more fulfilling and happier life. However, you don’t stop when you feel fulfilled. You continue to work on yourself because life keeps happening. Happiness is a continuous journey. Therapy is normal. Let’s make it ok, especially for Black people. #maketherapytrendy #passport2happy
